Skylten app for iPhone and iPad

Skylten is the first Swedish image-classifier for road signs, which gives the user an informative feedback and description about the identified road sign. Its super-easy to use!

1. Grab a picture of the road sign you would like to know more about!

2. Receive a detailed description about the identified road sign.

3. Receive a data-visualisation of the models top results.

The base of the app is a relatively simple machine learning program created in Python. The machine learning program has in advance, been trained to classify road signs, with hundreds of different images on road signs (which ones, are specified further down). Furthermore, it has been integrated in this iOS application with a clean and user-friendly interface, for you to learn as easy as possible, whether youre on the way to work, school or the training. Quickly grab a picture of the road sign, get detailed information about it and create your path towards the drivers licence - everything for free!

Except from the core function - image classification of road signs - there are other several functions built-in.

Such as:

- Directions to different parking-spots, where you can start driving practice. (Press any pin on the map view and a callout will appear, with a blue car icon on the right-hand side. By pressing the car icon you will be redirected to Apple Maps for directions to that specific parking place)

- And access to a list with the majority of all Swedish road signs, categorised. (Access it by toggling the "Side Menu" > "Skyltar" > Select category (E.g. "Varningsmärken") > "Blue text" on the bottom (E.g. "Varningsmärken"))

In Version 1.0:

- Only included mapping of certain parking-spots in Lund
- Software has been trained to classify a limited amount of road signs. (More to come - we are working on it!)
